Lotus reveal Britain´s fastest road car!

The race is on to build Great Britain’s fastest car but, it’s not McClaren or Bentley that are in pole position, it’s Lotus.

During an exclusive meeting at Lotus HQ, Norfolk, Wolf Zimmerman, the Cheif Technical Officer told of his plans to build a Superleggera version of the next-generation Espirit. The new model could sprint from 0-60mph in under 3 seconds and hit a top speed of 212mph!

The new model will feature an upgraded version of the 562bhp 4.8-litre V8 engine, which generates a maximum power of 612bhp at 9,000rpm. It will also feature a special aluminimum body that promises to be even stronger and lighter than before.
