The Hyundai veloster is an original, authentic coupé and spacious hatchback in one. It has 2 doors on the driver’s seat rear, but on the passenger’s side, only one door.
The car is excellent to drive, it has light steering, changing direction keenly and with a pliant, well-dampened ride at everyday speeds. In comparison to the similar cars available on the market, the basic Veloster 1.6 GDI costs £17,995 and comes with generous standard kit. That’s £1800 less than the most basic 122bhp 1.4 TSI Volkswagen Scirocco.
From the launch, the only available engine is the 1.6 litre direct injection petrol unit. Buyers have the choice of a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed DCT- Hyundai’s first ever dual clutch transmission.
The Veloster is a quirky, modern car with a sense of movement and balance, but it is also extremely practical. It’s an individual car, like no other, from the innovative new 3 doors, to the colours. Hyundai’s design for the centre console inside of the car, is an inspiration from a high performance motor bike. Totally original. Totally cutting edge.
